It is different, and at times, funkier. I think it's awesome, and it just goes to show you how other musicians can add their own flavor. Also, some of these offer a rare chance to see James singing, which I think is great. Keep it up guys.

What a great, great song with a nice key change on the chorus compared to the original, which I like a lot, too.

As a HUGE Daryl Hall fan I've been watching LFDH since day one. This episode remains one of my favorites and I think this version is absolutely brilliant. While I really like the original DH puts the soul, pain and heartbreak that only a man with some distance can do.
And big props to James and Rick. They were not only respectful but rolled with the different arrangements and approach - something most artist don't like doing. Brilliant guys - I'm a bigger fan after this episode.

I love both versions

This version of the song, in my opinion, is much better than the original. I love "live from daryl's house" and always end up watching this collaboration over and over again

Thats the point it's supposed to be a different direction just jamming out a song and seeing what comes of it.. If it sounded exactly the same what would be the point of that?
