'Blackmail' is one of the cleverest 10cc album tracks, ahead of its time. It's perfect for the celebrity-obsessed, 'Hello' magazine times of the 21st century.

Madly underrated!

Great songs. There is a backward message at 5.59, very faint but it's there.

Eric Stewart is better than Page (Led Zep) on guitar, I think; I see a little Harrison (Beatles), Clapton (Cream), Howe (Yes) in this guy. ...and better looking than all of 'em put together - a real decent chap!

@Geritopia Flying Junk is the Citizen Kane of rock songs!

The ultimate best sound/songs well copied by Queen!
Who can say Queen have their original own sound? Listen to this album and make your own conclusions. Sorry Freddie. You did love the 10cc sound and multitracking innovative Eric Stewart productions.

-
10cc - the best and most innovative band of the early/mid 1970's

@Geritopia your not the only one,I adore this track, reminds me of my visits to London in the 70's,great times, there is a live version of this but not released officially off the king biscuit live album, its fantastic, the whole album rocks.

@Asilazi yep that's Eric Stewart, the guy who used to be in the mindbenders. then again, Graham Gouldman was in the band at the end of their run as well
-
@Geritopia you're not the only one.i consider it the best tune on the lp.just great guitar work!
-
@Geritopia you kidding? I hit puberty with this album. Flying Junk was a particular favorite.
That guitar solo in Blackmail is a ripper. Whos playing that? the one guy who I think used to be in the group, the mindbenders?
