now I assume you attained the rank of chief by being a brown nose because you obviously overreacted to simple comments and critiquing by a fellow driller. second, about the berets: the navy SEALs in Vietnem originally wore the black berets that the army use today, we are simply going with that origin. only for exhibition events. they look better than garrison covers, n they're easier to spin in than combos

yeah i know how it its. that's how my unit used to be, if not worse, until i became the drill team commander/CO, i put they're fucking asses in line. those were the good old days, now im getting ready for Marine Bootcamp, leaving in a month a half

For a High School unit, pretty darn good! Way better than we were back in the day (1980s).

The commander after me and the one after that opted for Berets; I never liked Berets but that's up to the individual unit commander. You could use the black chinstrap for its original purpose on the combos, with another for mere aesthetics still on the cover. Never was a fan of helmets either, but some can make it work. I do love the winter blue uniform with white belt + leggings, though. Go DT!

that cadet achieved CHIEF by going through the CHIEFS program. Not to be an ass but we went through almost the exact same induction that Navy Chiefs go through. We were trained by Ggnuine Navy Chiefs. There is no brown nosing or anything like that. We earned those ANCHORS. No doubt about it.
