The name "Dodgers" is a Brooklyn Name. It belongs to Brooklyn, not Los Angeles.

Former New York Mayor Robert Wagner and Former New York City Developer Robert Moses played "Politics" with the issue about "The Dodgers" future home in the 1950's. Robert Moses made the ultimate mistake refusing "The Dodgers" new land for their New baseball Stadium for the Brooklyn Fans. Guess What? That New stadium is now in Los Angeles. It was supposed to be at the corner of Flatbush & Atlantic Avenues in Downtown Brooklyn where the Long Island Railroad and major New York City Subways.

Brooklyn had a chance to keep the Dodgers, if they just would've given Walter O'Malley what he wanted, which was a new stadium.. The city of Brooklyn wouldn't give it to him, so he went somewhere better where he could build this beautiful stadium.. Brooklyn's loss is LA's gain.. Thank god he did it too.. Plus it was over 50 years ago, get over it already.. Thank you Walter O'Malley for doing what you did.. LET"S GO DODGERS!!!!
