  • @TiffyBear I just ate really high raw after the fast, started with mono meals just one type of fruit at a a time and salads. I did not work out during the fast and I am still not there yet with the exercise. I have actually not gained any weight back I am putting together a vid showing my weight over the year and some other clips to show the difference in my face, stay tuned for that. after the fast I craved raw foods more than ever! I have a few vids I made of my meals after the fast.

    Also, the juice fast went on for 31 days and I lost a total of 30.7 lbs :-D

  • not everyone will have loose stools or whatever with a juice fast so don't let that be a deterrent. It really depends on what kinds of foods you've been eating in your diet that is probably encrusted within the interior walls of your bowels and digestive system. I've done a 60 day juice fast and did not have 'loose stools' or 'diarrhea'.

  • I am so excited to hear that your hypothyroid has been resolved. How cool is that. I want mine healed....I am on my first day of a 10 day fast and will probably go even further as I have a lot of healing to do. Thank you so much for the inspiration!:-)

  • Good job , I start my diet today . I have seen movie on Netflix about juice fast . I needed some more motivation .

  • @5oupy they actually were not laxatives it was psyllium husk which is natural fiber -- it was about getting the toxins out faster that way than having them circulate in my blood causing ill side effects like headaches and all that

  • @aRawLifestyle I agree, I am in nursing school too and have to sacrifice a lot of sleep. I just tell myself that it's only for one more year :) I know there are veterans out there who had to sleep sitting up in foxholes and they survived and I do not have the added fear of losing my life. Anyway, I am fasting right now too. My second time :) And I don't think you need to take laxatives dear. When you don't eat food you aren't going to poop. :) God Bless

  • I have to disagree with the book.

    Water fasting does not eat away your muscles, it's mostly fat. I read that you would lose on average 0.7kg of muscle every 2 weeks. Your body starts to use muscles for energy once your bodyfat% goes to very very low and it's also known as starvation.

    Therefore, water fasting for weight loss does not lower your metabolism significantly and it's more likely that you will keep the weight away because eating large quantities of food is hard after a fast.
