l-lysine. take 1500 mg a day. stay away from foods that are high in argine. (google it there are charts out there. ) i found a months supply of lysine at target for $2.49

ALWAYS wash your hands before and after touching your coldsore, wash your pillow cases each night.. keep coldsore dry as possible dont lick your lips.. if the coldsore breaks open it will take 5-7 days to heal.. if your coldsore has broken open and you want to dry it out..the best is chlorhexidine 0.5% 70% alcohol..just put a few drops of this on there.. if you dont have any of that you can use iodine antiseptic.. if you dont wash your hands you can transfer this to the genital region!
