This is an all too common sight around the Detroit suburbs. I live and grew up in these suburbs and have recently watched it all die. Go around any neighborhood in the suburbs here and you will see homes empty and boarded up. Right across the street from these homes is a mall, and stores. This aint even the ghetto. This is the suburbs, this is where I grew up. I have been optomistic but that has turned into discouragement. No one else in this country has been hit harder than Detroit and metro Detroit, NO ONE! Who is responsible for this mess? Right down the street from these homes are an empty Media play (has been since 2004) an empty circuit city, a closed down restaurant, numerous vacant stores, and an empty movie theatre with 8 screens. Tell me to be optomistic......tell me it will get better...... There aint no jobs, no opportunities in this state or anywhere else it seems. Welcome to my life. I'll never forget this recession and wont forget where I come from.

  • I live in the Wick Pelham neighborhood, across from the old Pickwick Apartments, Taylor is pretty hood, people selling guns, drugs, sex. The older generation doesn't realize quite yet.

I know the neighborhood you live in. I also know pickwick apartments too had a friend who used to live in there. The worst part of Taylor is Eureka in between Inkster and Beech Daly. The Ponds and Parks area is the worst area of Taylor.

  • these are all good houses, good buildings great neighborhoods. all filled with memories, hopes and dreams.... look on every corner every main street sits a bank. a bank unwilling to lend a hand give out an extension on a loan hand out a buisness loan or do anything to help out the local residents of Wayne, Washtenaw or Oakland county. They didnt just shut Detroit down they shut Michigan down

  • The first home looks like it was really nice.
