No it doesnt count towards freefall time in the sky, but you WILL learn a hell of a lot faster in one of these.. its not about the numbers anymore :)
anyone tells you its not like skydiving is just plain wrong :)
i do both and love both... most people that put tunnels down say what they say because you cant hide in a tunnel :)))) the skys a big place and anyone can talk a good skydive ....

Isnt it dangerous to do that, without an enclosure to keep you in the wind?

Once you leave the tunnel of wind you drop straight down so it isn't that dangerous. But it's amazing fun!

Thanks for clarifying that. BTW, would tunnel time qualify towards freefall time, for licensing considerations (say, the B, and higher, skydiving licenses)? Thanks.

I'm not actually sure and it will probably depend on the laws within your country. Rather consult a local expert to get more info. I didn't do this as part of a course, simply for fun.
