This could be one of the best 12 minutes of music ever recorded live! I was 20 when this show happened. The 80's were magic....if you were there, I don't have to say anything else.

Imagine, if you watched this live on TV, then went on to DJ throughout the late eighties/early nineties playing the dance tunes of the moment then went to Ibiza with the boys 93, 94 & 95.
Great times...can't go back. I am a Lucky Bastard!

@wanttoread5 I know exactly how you feel .... I was in the 8th grade watching Live Aid on MTV and thinking that I wanted to be there so badly!! And I remember Bono climbing up on top of the platform to waive a flag. I heard that the band members were pissed off at Bono for pulling off that stunt because he could have fallen and seriously hurt or killed himself and I remember everybody playing that shot of what Bono did and talking about it and it finally died out. Wish I would've been there!

The summer of '85 was a great time to be a music fan, especially a U2 fan.

I was so blessed to be an 80's child. Several younger kids that realize they missed out by being born too late, at least you have really good taste in music. Unlike most of your young peers. We didn't shoot up schools. Our music was diverse, uplifting, usually about partying and chicks, along with the alternative scene. Grunge fucked everything up. Now the world is full of hate and brooding. Wallow in your sorrow that you created.....to go from Queen to Jay-Z.....dIsgusting.

I think the guy handling Bono's mic was from New Zealand and was killed the following year in a motorbike crash. They wrote One Tree Hill as a tribute to him.
I was three years old, playing with action figures in the sand, and a world away THIS was happening. Oh how I wish I would have been old enough to have been there that day.
