It's another 2-stager but it's Castle Crush's un-skippable press eating up most of the space. Clapper's Cavern decides to surprise me with a lot of palette-swaps happening which are described later...

Castle Crush
There is a crazy, possibly game-destructive glitch in this level that exists when you tamper with the DK Barrel at the beginning. I might have gave it a whirl had the barrels not been removed but that's a very limited possibility. Anyway, a large crushing press that you stand on is constantly pushing through the castle.By it's name I suppose one of two things: The Crushing press it actually compressing the castle while you avoid getting stuck under anything, OR, the press has many slots that the castle pieces slide through, but of course you would be crushed like a square trying to fit in a circular hole.
Cranky was literally telling you that he left some animal buddies in this level and he's "left" it to you to find them. Rambi for one Bonus, Squawks for the second. You have to fly ahead of the press if you want the DK Coin.
BSt1; You can actually fail this Bonus Stage quick if any of the Zingers touch the press before you knock them out. It's pretty easy though.
BSt2: Thirty seconds means you better brace yourself!. A separate, MUCH faster crushing press slides you up, as you avoid getting squashed by obstacles running left and right. Dixie cant jump off the press for some reason...

Clappers Cavern
Clapper is back, and so is Lockjaw. Also... why is there a "B" drawn in bananas inside the wall beside the DK Coin? Perhaps they meant to say "A" as that's the only way you can reach that hook. Interesting. Anyway, clapper in this level will freeze the ice when you bounce off his back. Anything other than Lockjaw gets pushed up to the surface immediately. Keep that in mind.
Engaurde helps out for a bit by opening a Bonus Stage, but right as the sign says "No Enguarde", I leave the Animal Buddy right beside it. Little did I know it would cause the following to happen:
Golden Clapper, Golden Kruncha, Golden Spiny (WTF?!) a Red Banana (only on 2 frames) annnnd.... yeah it was surprising. Engaurde get pushed up on top of the rising ice-water and probably causes a few colour glitches by being present. I also show both Kongs being dark or 'buddy colour'. Oh, and Golden Guitar = Ownage! Though I would have loved to seen a Gold Boombox.
BSt1: Piece of cake, just don't fall more than twice...
BSt2: This one is hard to fail. Just zoom to the right before the waters goes down on you. A fish out of water can have a tough time you know?

Man, I always thought Castle Crush was always a boring tedious, stupid five minute level. The only thing good about it was the music being epic later on, even though I thought it was more epic in the GBA version.

It's definitely longer than normal. In some situations, I almost wished the Crushing Press would move as fast as it did in the Bonus Stages. Now THAT would be a challenge.

After doing this will you do DKC3 ? I've tried watching some playthroughs but you're way better than any of them and you try alot of nice stuff (and you have annotations instead of commenting the game with your voice)

Others have asked me this question on earlier videos. At first, I just said no because I wasn't sure what I wanted to do next. But now that I have played more of DKC2, I'm starting to think about it.
However I will be doing another game before it. It will probably be short, or Long depending on what the goal is.
I'm glad the Annotations have a positive effect. it is worth the extra half-hour it takes to set them up when done properly.

never failing to amaze me. did most of these glitches/bugs you stumbled upon yourself?
also I think you forgot something in castle crush. I seem to remember when someone and myself had played this over netplay, he had went into some wall and gotten a bunch of thins with squawk's. it was either castle crush or toxic tower as they both have some similar portions...it was probably the latter :(

The glitch about the Golden Clapper I saw in another video (which probably lead to the Golden Guitar), but the affected Kruncha and Spiny are a real surprise to me.
I think you are right about those items in Toxic Tower. I checked all the walls when you are Squawks in Castle Crush and I couldn't pass through any of them. A bit of a heads up I suppose.
