We raised a litter of baby skunks in the summer of 2009. Nine skunks in all. Goober however was almost dead when we got him and nursed him back to health. He used the cat door to go outside and loved to play with toys and feet. He eventually joined his wild brothers and sisters and left for the wild three months ago. I imagine everyday that he is now happy and healthy and living free and wild like he was supposed to. We were so lucky to have him in our lives. I will miss him and I hope he decides to visit in the spring. I will always love Goober!
