What would he have played if the piano player hadn't brought the band in? Probably takes a long time to recover from that look.

When I was a kid my hero's were Batman and Superman, etc. When I was old enough to go hang in smokey bars These guys became my super heroes. Lieb with Miles, Billy Hart with Herbie, Charles Lloyd... Michael with Horace Silver and a couple times with McCoy at the old Yoshi's, too much to remember in 40 years of tripping on live music. Like Michael said, It's and interesting time to be alive... we are fortunate to have been able to share some of it with these giant instrumentalists and artists.
