I loved Lego Racer 64. the building was similar but clunky and much less polished in comparison. If you said that when this was in development, I would have wholeheartedly agreed with you. The humor,characters,and music are still there though, which are the stylistic trademarks of Banjo, not the graphics. Would I have preferred it stuck with the original art style? yes, but the game is good enough I'm willing to excuse it.

dude, did you play lego racing 64? I'm serious, go get an emulator and play it. it features the exact same building mechanic. i swear to god.
but even though, this game isn't all that bad. i did have some fun with it, but thats not the point. i hate it, and people hate it, because its not a banjo game in anyway, they fucking butchered him... they could have done this with anything, so why banjo?!

traditionally I love old things and hate new things, which pertains especially to revamps. While I was as skeptical as everyone else before this came out and I still don't care for the graphics, have any of you assholes played this game for more than 10 minutes or even played it at all? Sure it's not Banjo Threeie, but it's a damn good game in it's own right with arguably the best vehicle building in a game ever.
