VK wagon first drag run

This is my first time racing at the drags. It's a VK Commodore Berlina wagon with a 202 and 3 speed auto. Apparently it hadn't run for 2 years. The guy wanted it out of his yard so it was a freebie. One starter motor and some clean oil, and I'm out having fun.

WHAT MODS YA GOT?

I think the exhaust has had one of the mufflers/resonators removed. Other than that, diddly squat as far as mods go. I got it a couple of months go as a parts car for my other VK, but it turned out to be better than the project car. It had been sitting for a year or two and I think the guy had tried to start it but didn't get too far. We swapped the starter motors over and fired it up. Gave it a clean and oil change and went drag racing.

I'm pretty sure the motor is on it's last legs. It is blowing lots of smoke, has no oil pressure at the end of the track and rattles the whole way back along the return road. I think the bearings and rings are gone.

Can't complain for a freebie!!

I've always liked Holden VK Commodore Wagons, its a petty HDT didn't make a SS wagon.
