California State Polytechnic University at Pomona, The 5th ranked public undergraduate engineering program in the nation (US News and world report 2009) has entered the fray in a brand new racing series. Formula Hybrid SAE. In its first year, Cal Poly scored an impressive 15th place world wide. We are missing the second year of racing, for two reasons. One, California is broke. Two, we didn't get started early enough in private fundraising to make up the difference.
Regardless of where the socialists want to spend our money, we will march on. This video was taken February 15th 2010, in the K-lot at Cal Poly Pomona. We progress, we continue to move forward.... we will make our car even more competitive!
Cal Poly Pomona will lead the way.

I even watched the overtime! Anyway, team looks good again this year, except the 7 ft guy plays elsewhere now.

Sorry, I forgot to ask when the Fundraiser Car Wash with the Cal Poly Bikini and Thong Club (the women's club - not the alternative lifestyle men's club please). Again, Cool Car. Put in the Rose Bowl Parade on the CPP float. LOL

We don't get ANY money from the school, and so far only a promise of some cash from ASI.
We operate on dues, fundraiser events, and donations.
So... bottle your anger and sell it dude.

They do more for Cal Poly than most? Yea no shit cus their department gets better funded than any other on campus.

@TheKim5877 There are no restrictions on major! The team is mostly engineering students at this point, but we need people with multiple talents! And quite honestly, engineering students don't spend their 5-6 years here in accounting, sales, finance, or public speaking classes. These are skills we need as a team. That said, if you are a motor head and want to have some fun building a race car, and have no skills at all... we are still completely open!

Anyway, Nice Car - You should get it PUT ON THE ROSE BOWL FLOAT as a symbol for the Engineering Dept (you know, have it sitting next to the DIV 3 NCAA trophy). LOL
