  • I'm SO thankful that you actually know a thing or two (or three) about these games - alt moves included. All too many don't get them and simply disregard them.

I just picked this up based on your review and have to say that these are the BEST versions of each of these that you can find outside the actual arcade LD games. Actually better since these don't crash as often.

    Big thanks, Wii60DS!

    :)

  • @Glitch969 So glad you found it useful! Did you check out the article at Review Lagoon too, or just watch the video? I wish more people knew about just how good this version is.

  • Monroe,

I read your expert review and want to thank you for giving this port credit. I've had every one ever released and this is the closest I've ever seen with the exception of Daphne. I read some review that said DL2 is impossible without turning on the infinite lives. I just beat original and directors cut in 5 lives. Working on 3. Heard that there is a new DL coming out using some of today's technology. Any info on that?

  • @paranormalnorthtexas I am not privy to anything at this time. I'll be looking at Dragon's Lair on the DS (not the DSiWare one, but the cart version) soon.

  • Is there a way to get rid of the icons and arrows that pop up telling you what to do? They weren't in the arcade and i think they're annyoing. I have this game and I guess you cant turn them off? I tried hard mode.

  • @phgp27 - Yes. You turn ALL of them off in OPTIONS.

  • @cguevara12 - I would love to have some of the SegaCD Digital Pictures games (Night Trap, Double Switch, etc) on the Wii. In fact, I am an acquaintance of Rob Fulup, one of the guys that worked on them - seeing if they have any plans to port those over. I'd LOVE that.

  • @Wii60DS yeah that'd be cool to play double switch again with high quality video

  • Wow, haven't seen Dragon's Lair since the 80s at the arcade. My mommy only gave me so many quarters, so I didn't play this one as much and played something else.

  • This game does have subtitles for the deaf?

  • @Wii60DS

I just watched the video on my phone for a quick rundown/review and then picked up my copy on the spot. I was in the game store and had not heard anything about it one way or another - or even that there was a Wii version, so....

    Again, big thanks!

  • I've played Dragon's Lair on the iPod Touch, and I absolutely love that game. Same with Space Ace, as well. Does Dragon's Lair Trilogy have an Australian release? Because I'd love to get it on the Wii. :) Also, I'm surprised that there's no scoring system on DL II Timewarp, even though wikipedia said that picking up the treasures earns you bonus points.

  • the reason why you couldn't get the arrow again, im guessing, is because you already got it. but i don't remember it being like that in the arcade. doesn't look that good considering how many times it didn't react to you pressing the right direction. are they trying to emulate the real machine with the faulty joystick or something? bull.
