1963 Corvette Split Window walkaround. This car is rare for several reasons; first and foremost, this is an original 63 Split Window with intact rear glass. Also, it has a rare 2 speed automatic transmission, as well as rare power steering.

  • About 10 years ago, I bought a hot rod magazine. In the magazine a guy had purchased a 1963 split window. Black on cream colored leather interior fuelie in concoures condition. The guy tubbed it, put a blower on it. I'm serious! I wanted to tye a rope around him and drag him behind it! I could see doing that to a wreck but????

  • @MegaRubbersoul Yeah, we've seen a few modified cars that should have been left stock...we had a Red/Black 63 Split here a few years ago with sidepipes, torque thrusts, and a 350ci. Definitely not for me.

  • Never let a 20 year old buy a 1963 Corvette. But that's what I did in '64, and paid a whopping $3,000 with 'round the neighborhood miles. Had the 3 speed (no synchro in 1st) and 250 horse. Added a 3rd tailight, backup. Managed to soon collide at an intersection. Watched as they painstakingly 'glued and jigsaw-puzzled' the car back together. In 1965 bought a 300hp 1963 split-window, gold, with leather seats: $2,500. Trans went out in 1967, and sold it (great condition otherwise) for about $900.

  • 3 speed? That car would've been 1 of less than 1,000 built with the factory 3 speed. RARE! Bet you wish you had kept those....at any rate, thanks for watching!

  • @MegaRubbersoul LoL Dude that was in the 80's and it was to and original FUEL INJECTED 63 Vette...Yeah it made me sick too...He had nice stripes on it too..

  • I've seen rally wheels on plenty of vehicles that did not come with them -- it really depends on the vehicle as far as how they look. Would definitely not want them on a Tri-5 Chevy, I think they'd cheapen the car. If you're not going original with a Tri-5, then you've gotta go with something bigger, 17 inch minimum. Torque Thrust II's or Cragars work nicely there. However, on most 60s through 80s cars, you really can't go wrong with Rally wheels.

  • @buyavettedotnet I like these rally wheels better than the correct wheels for a '63. The correct wheels are not all that attractive in my opinion. The rally wheels also look great on early Camaros. But I don't care for them on 50s Chevys, though.... like sometimes they put them on a 57 Chevy. Cragars or American mags look better on a 57 Bel Air or Nomad. But I'm not sure I'd put Cragars on this 63 split window, tho. I think I'd keep the rally wheels. They look great.

  • bad ass

  • you should come and see my lil split window

  • Great looking car!!

Thoose where the days...GM has now become like a fat

american who cannot even move without help from the government.

Really sad if you ask me

look at the american cars from the late fifties to lets say 1972

great looking cars and now except for the new Ford Mustang,

the new Challenger and the new Camaro nothing that you want to own.

And to put the Chevrolet brand on Daewoo cars...no comments
