I just found this video ofyours. s that the new bridge in the picture off to the side on the left? It's to bad the bridge had to be replaced. That is how things work on earth as far as we know. I am glad that you got to video it befor it was gone and never raised again. Good thinking! Stay safe and thank you for posting this vide.
I can't believe the news guy would just cut right in front of you and screw up your view like that. They do that all the time here and it drives me nuts...like they think because they work for the news and have a better camera they are somehow more important that you.
Guess I am remembering too. I was there at this bridges birth in 1963. Among the first to cross it at 9 years old I was. Parents were looking to buy property on the island. I am saddened to know it is gone now, but glad to know safety rules over all. Hopefully anyway. I know of a rail road bridge from the civil war days and it's ready to collapse. Still in use as a railroad bridge. Man. Hope it falls down by itself. Or someone realizes and demolishes it. Before a tragedy happens. Bye ole bridge.
Wow this must be the day for me to reminiss, I no longer (unfortunetly)live donw there but I sure am sad to see the bridge go, I loved being stuck on the bridge comming back from town,I remember several occasions watching the dolphins and once when a water spout was headed right for the end of the bridge before you reached the island!!! Thanks for all the great memories, hopefully some day soon I will be back to see how much I dont like the new bridge!!!!
