@ATB990 It is actually not that strange. To ride on an ergometer like this or a indoor trainer has been common practice in the nordic countries for many years.
Mainly it is good beacause you can do really structured intervals, or you can just crank up the resistance and do power intervals at 60 rpm. Also it is not very safe to intervals outside in the cold and slippery conditions. Alot of us from up north routinely do 2-3 sessons per week throughout the winter.
