This car came into my hands as an excellent condition 2001 Miata in 2005. I personally installed a Garrett 2560R turbo, FM downpipe, RC 550cc injectors, K&N intake, Koyo 37mm performance radiator, Hydra II EMS computer and FM Level I performance clutch. Has a relatively new Robbins top (2008) with no scratches, tears, or sun damage. Around the 85K mark I personally replaced the timing belt, water pump, gaskets and seals, brakes, spark plugs, alternator, and performed a general tune-up of the car, changing out all of the fluids and replacing rubber parts that had deteriorated. It's an LS model, which means it has a Torsen limited-slip differential.
The Miata tends to get hot inside due to the fact that the downpipe from the turbo runs right under the transmission tunnel. To fix this, I installed Reflectix insulation under the carpeting (you can't tell it's there). Now the inside is nice and cool, and the sound is much quieter inside the cabin.
The car runs great, feels stock when off boost but really takes off when you open the throttle. The open intake gives it a great sound, but it's not loud enough to bother you on the highway.
The interior is the weak point of this car as it is old and faded. It still has the stock (non-Bose, thankfully) radio, but it has been modified to take in an audio signal from an iPod or other audio device using AuxMod. The air conditioning is very cold, and the heater is great for driving in the winter with the top down.
Overall an awesome car, I loved it, took great care of it, and I'm going to miss it when it's sold! It is currently garaged in Orlando, FL.
