Rare Chris Thomas King footage live in France during his controversial 21st Century Blues From the hood tour. King was living in Europe during this period in the early 1990's because he was banned from blues clubs and festivals in the states. Because of his radical rap blues innovation.
I respect Chris for doing his thing. I mean he is creative in his own way. And he sure did kick some ass with the ol' flat top box, but this just sounds like a garage band of high schoolers trying to cover the beastie boys.
However, he is after all, taking blues to a whole new level. Which when it comes to music... is what its all about.

Yes, I can imagine that he had a hard time getting booked following the release of "21st Century Blues... From Da Hood". That album is very, very under-rated and yes some of the material on it is controversial. But the main message of the album is that he doesn't give a damn about the purists or nay-sayers, he is going to ROCK the blues HIS way, and boy he sure does.
