@Sicilianu27 Though the BBE has high and low controls, it's not simply a tone stack. It splits the signal into frequency bands and adds a different amount of delay. This has a psycho-acoustic effect different from any EQ.
Guitar amplifiers tone controls are actually mid-scooped when the EQ knobs are set to flat EQ, and tube power amps also naturally mid scoop. This sounds great because midrange is annoying. Since what you're hearing is already scooped twice, don't scoop more, or not too much!

fucking nice dude!!!
Where you from?!!!

@xtazxvegasx I run mine at the end of the effects chain, in the effects loop. It's a must have in my opinion.
Running it in the effects loop is best, it most certainly does sound better there.

I have a 6505 head an the maximizer makes an enormous difference on my amp. Some say it gives you too much of a digital sound, but I don't much see it. I have the 482i rackmount, I too leave my own at all times.
Do you run the sonic stomp through your effects loop? I bought a maximizer before the 482 an wasn't aware I had to run it through the effects loop, so the first time I got one I wasn't very satisfied. So if you haven't tried that, see what happens.

@xtazxvegasx I'm loving the Sonic Stomp. I use it on my Peavey 6505+ half stack. I found that the key to making it sound great is to start with the knobs as the 12 o'clock postion and adjust from there. If you turn them too high, the sound gets over processed. I have it set perfectly now, and it stays on at all times while playing. Cleans sound much more crisp, dirty sounds scary, and I like that. This is a must have processor to me. I can't believe I never tried one before.

how are you liking it?

Sounds great Stevenskrub. I picked up the pedal version last night, still waiting to get home today so I can play it.

Like freakin' NIGHT and DAY! This is SO BADASS!
I used a BBE sonic maximizer in my rig for years and all it does is allow you to tailor high and low frequencies. Guitar is a mid range instrument and should be voiced as such. Mid scoops sound good in the studio or in your bedroom, but in a live band situation a mid scooped amp literally disappears. Turn your mids up, not your volume.

Theres no possibility of being "no-cool" when you have a Dean From Hell and a beard.
