Inkle looms are used for weaving narrow bands that can be used as belts, straps and trim. See how to get started warping and weaving on your Schacht Spindle Inkle Loom. This and other Schacht Spindle looms and accessories are available on the Blick Art Materials website http://www.dickblick.com/products/schacht-inkle-loom/. .

  • @piggylover368 - You do realize you can put one together with a 10' 2x4 and 4' of 1" dowel rod, right? I put one together that was a ton bigger than that with a slightly different design for around $10 with nothing but a 1/4" drill bit and a screwdriver. The only REALLY important thing is that your two top pegs and your heddle peg are lined up well enough you can get a good shed without fighting the next peg down in the front. I'll post a video of my construction up for you.

  • Instead of taping the thread in the beginning, you can also tie it between the end of the loom and the slot that the tension peg slides around in or you can tie to the tension knob and come around but tieing it to the end of the loom is handy if you can't be bothered by using tape.

  • man I want one
