Fourth division Halifax take on non-league Altrincham at Moss Lane in the second round of the FA Cup in 1988.

The Town team consisted of legends such as Wayne 'Chief' Allison, Neil 'Teapot' Matthews, Lee 'Chesterfield' Richardson and Paddy 'Snax' Roche. The Halifax Town team entered the Guinness Book of Records for wearing the shortest shorts ever during this match. Commentary courtesy of John Motson.

Sellotaped on the end are the goals from our 3rd round matches against non-league Kettering. History shows that we messed up big style against them and they went on to play (and lose) to top-flight Charlton in the 4th round.
