"Pahatar" is actually a clever name. The -tar suffix in Finnish changes a word into its feminine form (eg. kuningas = king, kuningatar = queen). Paha means "bad" so with the -tar suffix her name is hard to translate into English, but it is similar to something akin to "dark lordess." I like the name a lot.

Hassu toi "haltiatar Ilomieli" nimitys. Kun sehän oli kaikkea muuta kuin iloinen :D

so what? Merrryweather's "softening of the curse" is her gift 2 Aurora?

@repaeu English does have a suffix with the same purpose: -ess. (As in: actor, actress; priest, priestess.) So a literal translation would be "Eviless"... Which sounds kind of awkward in English :-P
Love it, thanks for this one! But haven't any of you ever wondered what would Merryweather have given to Aurora, if Maleficent hadn't come?
Sorry about my English, right now, I'm really tired, so there are most likely more mistakes than usually.
