  • for the cost of one water cutter, I could have 50 bandsaws all working on cutting rugs.

  • 50 bandsaws! How much do 50 bandsaws cost? Where will you put 50 bandsaws? A facility that large would cost big bucks -- imagine the power bill and the cost to pay 50 people to operate 50 bandsaws.

With a waterjet you can stack cut material -- so I can cut 8 inches of rug at once. I can even cut saw and carbide blades.

Thanks to FlowMaster Software and FlowConnex I dont even stand there and watch my waterjet work. Instead, I can work on other things.

  • a bandsaw can cut a rug just as fast...

  • Youre completely right a bandsaw will cut a rug, but not as fast.

How are you going to start you cut? Youd have to drill a hole and insert the blade. A waterjet can pierce and cut instantly.

A bandsaw blade is circular, like a rubberband, cutting holes in the middle of material is not the best use of a band saw. How will you even get the blade in the middle of a 6 foot rug? My question to you is will a bandsaw produce a clean cut?

  • Nice, is there a home version of this machine?

Also, how much it costs to operate that machine each time u cut somthing?

  • If you'd like to run a waterjet machine out of your garage or backyard work shed, we have one to suit your needs!

As long as you have the facility space/electrical requirements, we can get you up and cutting in no time. Typically, our customers would look at an $18-$25/hr operation costs to run our Flow Waterjet Machines. This varies on the hardness of your material, and how many gallons of water/abrasive you'd like to "Flow" thru your system. The more water/abrasive, the faster the cut!

  • What was that contraption at the beginning of the video, some sort of decrepit mp3 player?

  • I guess that water jet is a good dancer, because it sure can....

    *puts on sunglasses*

    ....cut a rug.

    YEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

  • Lol

  • ok flowman, I got the ultimate challenge for you :) cut a neodymium magnet measuring 6 inches by 6 inches by 6 inches. If the machine can take that kind of abuse, I will bow down to your greatness :)

  • u hire 50 people in China :)

  • :| well if you're trying to cut out feet shapes, water cutter wins :| if you're making straight cuts, bandsaw is ok. Also you have to take into account the costs of the two machines.... Ok I admit water cutter is better :(
