Just messing around using some Autodesk products. :-)
Workflow:
-Initial 2D sketch design created in Autodesk Sketchbook Designer 2012
-Import sketched 2D jpeg into Autodesk Alias Design 2012 for 3D surfacing
-Import surface model into Autodesk Fusion 2012 for ehanced free-form surfacing. Import into Autodesk Inventor Professional to create solid model and assign assign material for pre-render. Render and various surface finishes made in Bunkspeed Shot (I prefer BS over Autodesk Showcase).
Part 2 coming soon for enhanced solid modeling to stress analysis, thermal analysis and more!
