UML is a graphical standard for modeling software architecture and business processes. So why is it called "language" anyway?

mmm hamidmushtaq it looks you havent worked in medium to large projects, without UML you could lose the track of your vars, objects associations ..... with a good diagram you can cut your time programming.

In more and more companies that have healthy future growth in their plans, use cases and UML skills make the difference between having a job as a programmer or business analyst, or flipping burgers for the rest of your life.

When I started writing code many years ago, I thought just the same way. My colleagues were on board to overthrow the bureaucrats. All my colleagues were subsequently left without jobs because they would not allow users to dictate functionality. 24 years later, I still love my work as a business\systems analyst (former programmer). I still have a very well paying job.
