I can't believe he died after only being here for a few months. Rest in peace, Alysheba!

  • The couple that bought Alysheba were from my town and as a tribute, my city named a street after Alysheba and Secretariat.

  • so beautiful!, he was my favorite too

  • @ocala2008 He was MY favorite horse. The horse that brought me into racing, and I've never looked back. :)

  • RIP beautiful one. You died just weeks before we could get to KY to meet you. We have your great nephew. He's beautiful, and we love him. Every time I touch him, I'm touching a piece of you through your mom and granddad.

  • I wanted to meet him soooo badly....I talked about him so much in Jr. High that my nickname was "Alysheba"

  • My favorite horse of all time! I'm his biggest fan! In 88' my Arkansas license plate had his name on it, I got thousands of horn honks. McCarron blew the Belmont in 87' on him, he was a lock for the Triple Crown. McCarron will tell you today that he blew it on this horse. In 88' he became the richest horse of all time. Jack Van Berg said he never had a pimple on him, his legs were as sound on the day he died as they were when he was racing. Alydar's most successful son! Perfect Horse

  • Gets me everytime

  • Add Rachel Alexandra to all those names

  • RIP, dear boy. We too had planned to see him before he died. We have his dam Bel Sheba's great-grandson.

Thank you for keeping his memory alive.

  • Beautiful horse
