Love this advert, saw it on a D&AD video back in 1995. No idea why it popped in my head now but I just had to find it.

@jismaili We went through hundreds of songs from the radio station's playlist. The musician/mixer Mark Von Hoen (google him) had 30 seconds to play with... this was in the days before time stretching technology, so it was a lengthy process. The mixes we liked then had to be approved by the client and those who held the rights to the songs. The director trio BDH Althetico shot each scene to each clip used. The whole process took about a year.
