Oh that's adorable Sian, your Dad looks like a wonderful man just like his lovely daughter! I think Banjo could be like that with certain people, sometimes when we're walking, occasionally we'll pass someone that he just doesn't like the scent of, and he'll start barking, and I'm sure would have a go if he could!! My question is off-subject. My Border Collie runs in the house when she hears certain neighborhood dogs barks, but not when some others bark. Is there a way that I can correct this? Thank you for sharing your tips. Don Durkee in Hollywood.

@DonDurkee is your dog running in because it is scared of the dogs barking? is she scared of those dogs for a reason? you could try getting a recording of them barking and play it to your dog with loads of rewards? as it's just the sound of them barking that your dog doesn't like. this would at least let you work on it some. hope that helps.

Oh my goodness, your dad is adorable :)  My dads name is also Peter, and Kiko as a puppy didn't really like him coming home from work (hehe). We used a similar method- I got my dad to come home with a treat in hand for about a week and the problem was solved :)

You go treat your dogs like little children, dress them up in onesies and little dresses and have tea parties with them, give them treats, let them eat at the table with you and take them shopping in your man purse, while Me and my Bernese and Wolfhound will continue to do what we do, and be just fine. @Leonogi All I need to say to you now is "Stop commenting on positive dog training videos" as it will only be misleading people and confusing them to which dog training method really works and is good for both (pets/owners). If you can't do that then spend some time with your dog/dogs and then you'll have a different view on dog training method. Peace out!
