this must explain why my mom thought these reporters were crazy during Hurricane Frances

Haha... You have to love live television.

Poor Mike.

Ike was the most dangerous storm to ever hit the southeast TX coast, I have lived in Houston all of my life and never seen a storm this dangerous.

I still don't understand why the stations don't let the hurricane chasers who are experienced in these conditions get the footage for them. They always send unexperienced people rather than folks like me and my friends who have been through dozens of hurricanes. And in hurricane Ike, they (the media) all stayed at the same hotel...so they all had the same shots....boring.

He needs to stand where his rather steady camera man is. :)

And some people like danger, no matter what they'll find it.
"Hold ON" heheheheh. Good camera work too.

My brother was visiting at the time, we stayed up all night watching the storm coverage. We were lucky to catch this moment live. We laughed until it hurt.

Honestly, I think they get in dangerous situations for the viewers' enjoyment!
Why not send in a robot like the police use to defuse bombs??
It would be safer!
