Roy Castle OBE (31st August 1932 in Scholes, near Holmfirth, Yorkshire - 2nd September 1994 in Buckinghamshire) was an English dancer, singer, comedian, actor, television presenter and musician. He attended Honley High School, where there is now a building in his name. He was a talented jazz trumpet player. PUBLIC DOMAIN News item.

  • I met Roy several times when he was younger. He was so talented it took your breath away. And he was a lovely cheerful friendly chap. God bless you Roy.

  • Yes a rudec question but what a anwser. What a great man wow time has gone fast.

  • He was also holder of 9 world records and someone who never failed to light up a room when he was in it.
