We have had a lot of success selling these fruit forward and structured wines from the Ribera Del Duero region of Spain that is located just to the South of Rioja. These wines have lots of ripe black cherry and black berry fruit and today many of them are being aged in new oak barrels so they are reminiscent of California Cabernet Sauvignon when young to me and I have mistaken them for California Cabernet so many times at brown bag I consider any wine that I think is Cabernet Sauvignon a candidate for possibly being from Ribera del Duero. We have assembled for this tasting some of the best wines that are available from this region available to us here in South Florida at a reasonable price. Wine Watch Catering's Toni Lampasone will be sending out a few things to accompany the tasting wines and yes- there will be Jamon de Serrano! The fee for this tasting is $35 + tax, for reservations call 954-523-9463.
