How to Lock your iPod Touch or iPhone with a Passcode with Letters and Numbers NO JAILBREAK NEEDED

Hey guys. This video will show you how to set a passcode lock that can consist of letters and numbers of any length, verses the option in Settings that only allows a 4-digit pin code with numbers. There is no jailbreak required for this.

[How To]
(1) Download the custom password file from the 1st link above.

(2) Set up a mail account on your iPod Touch/iPhone if you haven't already. To do so:
a. Go into the mail app if you have never used it before. Otherwise, go to Settings-Mail, Contacts, Calendars-Add Account....

b. Click on the service you have and enter the needed information. The rest of the e-mail server options, etc. are automatically added for you.

NOTE: If you have a different service than the one that was provided i.e. Hotmail, click on "Other" and proceed.

(3) On your COMPUTER: Compose an e-mail to yourself (make sure it is the one set up on your device) and attach the .mobileconfig file that you downloaded earlier to the e-mail. Send it!

(4) On your device, check for e-mails and click on the one you just sent. Click on the attachment file.

(5) Click "Install". Then click "Install Now". Enter a password of your choice, but make sure to include at least ONE (1) number. Click Next and then retype it and click next. Click Done.

There you go! Check it out, and DON'T forget your password. LOL

To remove the password:

(1) Go into Settings-General-Profile. Click Remove, then Remove again, and then enter in your password.

(2) Click Passcode Lock. Enter in your password. Click "Turn Passcode Off". Enter in your password again. REMOVED!

That is way to complicated, all you have to do is go to settings, go to general, go to passcode lock, click turn on, and enter it. If you want like words then go to simple passcode and it should let you do words. That's it!
