It's from a fabulous series of videos produced by WGBH Public Television on Evolution. It was made to accompany Carl Zimmer's book "Evolution: the Triumph of an Idea". I used it to teach a class in evolution.

@karamarouge oh dear, maybe google "synthtetic cell" in google schoolar and read some of the many many papers on this topic.

@Aanthanur Um i fail to find the part where he says he created a synthetic cell. And any one who can read and comprehend English (as do so many biologists) will tell you that he did no such thing. No amount of word play will escape the fact that he used parts already existing and actually utilized living organisms in his experiment.

It is hard to claim you created anything when you just borrowed parts and put them in a living creature.

CASE CLOSE.. NO CREATION NO SYNTHETIC CELLS.

@Aanthanur I did go back and watch the whole video. It is very interesting that there is still no where in the video where he claims to have created synthetic life. No where. He does say what you claim, but those who comprehend english will tell you that he did not make any such claim. And those who understand science will explain to you why he cant make such a bogus claim. (basically because even he knows that he didnt not create synthetic life of any sort)

It is your logic system being exposed by your yourself as seriously flawed. Dont try to bring up the problems of ID when you are making a fool out of yourself with this nonsensical arguments.
