PoeticJustice05. Here is my take on Vinnie. yes, he has played with just about everyone, but I don't see that many classic recordings that I was that impressed with what he was doing. Sometimes he plays very safe, but I just ain't digging everything he has done. yes, I like some of the stuff with sting, but I equally like Manu and Copeland. To me, Vinnie doesn't stand out as much as other drummers like Williams, Cobham, White, Narada, Gadd and others that have a VERY distinguishable style.

@Oneness100 decent players? Vinnie Colaiuta is probably the best drummer to have ever lived. He makes his living playing everything, not just commercialized music. He's played with everyone from Frank Zappa to Sting to Megadeth to Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea. You really don't know what you're talking about.

This sounds like smooth jazz. decent players, but the song isn't that special. they are all playing fairly safe, commercialized music. too bad these players have to br involved with commercialied go make a living.
