The security features of the window frame passed the test but let down by the incorrect installation or lack of proper fixings.. As you can see the snapper clips give way quite easily.The snapper clip rely on spring tension to hold window in place , once this gone they fail to do the job properly. Window frame need to have a gap of 5 mm around to take account of expansion and contraction of the upvc due to temperature rise and fall.So that if the frame is moved side ways the gap becomes 10 mm.The weakest part of the window frame is in middle where it can bend the most as you can see.So a crow bar or jemmy can be inserted to prise the window frame from the opening.
