  • Nice save ! good tip.. let the wing do the work ? when you are running and the ground speeds picks up start to lenghen your stride to keep up (space hops) this way you won't get left behind and end up falling down onto the glider !!!

    cheers

  • I'm guessing he's an experienced pilot. In a plane this would have been the procedure for a short field take off.

  • @jethou1 Thanks!

  • @oldfart387 The engine is attached to what is in effect an extended harness. The 2 legs at the back (with small skids on them) support the back of the harness and engine when taking off and landing, without them the propeller would hit the ground and break.

  • @miraclepieco In all fairness, he has to talk out of his ass. His head has been up there for years.

  • Ok, I have a dumb question. What are the two 'legs' hanging behind it? No, not his legs, the things that look like hooks to land on an aircraft carrier?

  • Why don't you mount a machine gun on your hanglider

  • LOL. I'm glad he made it off...

  • Just the advice i needed! THANX

  • It's pretty obvious that the uprights are way ahead of what they should be for a normal take off. And he still manages to save the day, his pride, his equipment and his weekend. Well done.
