  • His voice is just an inspiration.

Everything is so rich, and his top notes are gorgeous. His voice is so full and warm. Sheesh. I love this guy.

  • @angalafan thank you friend for the affirmation, im jealous however that you got to go see him live! a good friend of mine went to school with him and says he is a really wonderful and humble person in real life on top of being incredibly gifted which is amazing and hard to find sometimes in people who gain notoriety so quickly. but i agree technically he is the first tenor since pavarotti who in my opinion REALLY has solid technique and sound combined with musical singing and fantastic diction.

  • Great Lawrence...I saw you had your debut in Italy with il viaggio a Reims. I saw you on Italian TV. You'll surely become a great opera star. Continue studying...great!!!

  • BRAVO!

  • He has such a natural sound. Bravo

  • Endowed with a naturally beautiful voice. Hits the high notes with ease and can hold it a long time.without straining. Incredible.

  • Does anyone have any clips of him (or point me to links of him) singing opera in actual opera productions?

  • Having read that LB always insists on singing this when performing the role, I was incredibly disappointed on going to see him in Berlin in June as it wasn't included! What happened? It was wonderful to see him live, and worth travelling a long way, but I still feel I missed out on something special.

  • @bigus Hmm, I would agree that they have very different sounds - Florez brighter than Brownlee, but I think they are both fine bel canto singers. Especially if you compare them to the vomitous sounds (IMO) that Rockwell Blake made singing this stuff. Would pay good money to see either of them.

  • If Brownlee and Florez were sharing this role, I'd have to go twice! Different, but both fantastic....

  • @matthieusarah You're right, Rossini had a nasty habit of recycling himself...

  • @FaustinaBordoni he really is the leading tenor right now. can't get enough of him!
