@P40BH I can't help to laugh at this statement besides the fact that the speed is limited to Restricted Speed not exceeding 15MPH within PENN Station. (Not that I recommend you go that fast unless you see string of "Clear Signals" even at that not wise)
What you guys don't realize is the amount of signals all over the place and how close they're to one another in some case less than a half car length. You have to watch how you're aligned and make sure you have the signals. (obscure signals)

@Lautico When running cab car out can;t think of any equipment to where the controller allows you to dynamic break from the cab car similar to effect I listed above again instead of cars running into the engine when the dynamic break kicks in it's like throwing a anchor out the window which would yanks the cars back. As an Engineer you get used to how handle your train to make it run smooth, if you care that is. All equipment acts differently though even same set running from another end changes
-
@danwat1234 Most of them don't have dynamic breaking with a regenerative feature with the exception of the Acela. All of the engines used in passenger service do have dynamic breaking which for the most part is computer controlled including the MU sets. A few of the alps you can manually used the Dynamic break just keep in mind though it has to be used correctly or it just be like using the independent break causing the cars to run into the Engine.

@Lautico All right, that makes sense. Thanks for the info!

@Lautico I suspect this will change with the introduction of the ALP45DP(A new dual mode supposedly high tech blah blah I'm sure I'll have numerous headaches with all the computerized crap they threw on it) if it hasn't already.
-
@BentraxVideos I should clarify , they don;t allow Engines to run in Diesel mode because of the fumes. Some of Amtraks Engines are dual mode they run electric in PENN until they hop on the Empire Line. The NJT AC Express also has diesel but it's off and basically used as cab car with and ALP on the hind end pushing until they get to Shore Interlocking and switch over to diesel.

@Lautico Okay.
-
@BentraxVideos they don't allow diesels in PENN STATION you dope, you buffs are scrary

Great video. I rode in one of those babies once, except it was on the Main Line to Suffern. I did a shave and a haircut sometimes.
Also, cool vid, i once drove one of those trains by putting on/off the bell, honking the horn, and moving the throttle!

Dude, nice video. I've always wondered how the cab of the NJT trains looked like. Thanks for the video.
