hey im getting my 35mm adapter soon for my dvx-100 what focal length lenses should i buy to make my movies look like real films?

@AWiseFilm Typically the "film look" is attributed to shallow depth of field so longer lenses will help achieve this along with shooting in 24p. I end up using a 50mm and 72mm lens a lot. Also, good lighting and composition are still always going to help you move away from the "video look"..

Hey - your stuff looks great. I'm also new to the 35mm lens conversion stuff... maybe you can help me out. I understand that using a redrock adapter will flip the image? If so; how do you manage shooting? I imagine that would be kinda difficult. I also heard something about a flip accessory...? I'm guessing that fixes the problem.

Yea, if you have just the redrock it will flip the image upside down. You have two options, 1) buy an external monitor and filp it upside down or 2) Redrock does have a flip accessorie for fairly cheap. The only problem with the flip is that you lose even more light when you use it. I have tried both and now just use the flip and deal with the light loss.. Hope that helps.
