Not sitting on the porch this time. Oh my !! I went to a soccer game with my friend Dan. Its slightly different than going to a Red Sox game in Boston. I am not much of a sports fan but I defiantly enjoy a stadium game now and then. As Dan said "A soccer game without the fans is just a few guys kicking a ball around" I focused on the crowd and the Japanese soccer spirit. Much thanks to you Dan for the experience. Enjoy!

By the way it was a tie game against Hiroshima on 6/25/09

Ajinomoto Stadium:

http://www.stadiumguide.com/ajinomoto.htm

The stadium is the home of the J. League football teams F.C. Tokyo and Tokyo Verdy, and is used as the venue of some lower divisions of football leagues. Rugby union and American football games are also held there. In 2002 FIFA World Cup, Saudi Arabia's national team placed their training camp at Chōfu and used the stadium as a main training ground, although it did not host an actual World Cup match.

The stadium is often used by non-sport events, such as concerts and flea markets.

  • Thanks glad I still got it! Cheers!

  • These guys jumped and sang all night without faltering. I felt like I should keep up with them but I had to shoot. I tried to hold the flag and wave the banner a bit to show I was not a total noobe.

  • Yea I went to see the Japanese fans actually. They are fascinating to me and how the have a big spirit. Of course the beer and the baguette hot dog could not be passed up.

  • Not sure when I will get to a baseball game here, but I hope soon! Thanks Eszra.
