emachines T1840 - First time powered up in 3 1/2 years! - Part 1

This was my primary computer from 2002 to 2005. It hasn't been used since the power supply caught fire in late 2005. I replaced it with a spare power supply but never ended up using it again, used it as an excuse to buy a P4 (that later blew up, but that's another story. I was amazed to find it still worked after sitting for so long since as it wasn't the best pc to begin with. It's almost like a time capsule into my past

@Lukeno52 Ya, I know, I was looking for the cheapest computer available at the time as my previous computer died at the worst possible time. It was slow, but it worked

Hey my uncle had the exact same computer and do you want to know what happened, his power supply fried the motherboard and started to smoke. I found out on the web that this certain computer which looks exactly same has a record for failing power supplies. He got it fixed and just about last year gave me it to use so that he could upgrade to a laptop. But yeah, emachines at the time had a bad record for power supplies.

I have one from the year 2000 and a little bit newer one. Still works EXTREMELY slow boot. lol Only had a meager 64MB RAM and 20GB HDD...

these computers especialy the ones made from 2006 have many many many issues my dell optiplex ive had for almost 5 years outruns the 3 my family has wich is why i still use it and my acer aspire 1 labtop
