This is a short clip I made of the famous battles of Isandlwana and Rorke's Drift. It consists of clips from the films ZULU and ZULU DAWN.

  • Excellent editing work. Thanks for this inspiring video showing the bravery of these soldiers. It took a lot more than tech to triumph, it took a stout heart.

  • Thanks!

  • RUBBISH! the British were diplomatically forced to remove the Zulu threats, the zulu's were having their warriors trained by European warfare by other empires. They were trained in the fire of rifles and kept up heavy volleyfire on the British soldiers and their rifles outnumbered those at Rourke's Drift by 2000. All of this can be checked accurately. Waste of space person's posted this shit.

  • The Zulu's weren't only armed with spears and swords they did have rifles.

  • Just listen to that superb soundtrack

  • TheZulu's were undoubtably brave men , but the reason they took the British at Isandlwana, was'nt because of lack of ammo or overheating of the Martini Henry rifle, it was because Chelmsford refused to have his men laargered into a all round defensive poistion, something the Boers knew was the way to defeat the Zulu's, has proved at the battle of Blood river! And has the British found at Rorke's Drift.

  • @mekinock Yeah top class work buddy..and john barry's music too..Brilliant

  • Where did the idea that the zulus had only spears come from?

  • Ngingayitholaphi ivideo ehlangene yalendabuzekwayo weGatsheni?

  • @VictumRoManius the British did execute wounded Zulu's after Rorke's Drift, but only after hearing from someone who was at Isandlwana about what the Zulu's did to the wounded British soldiers (tore their stomachs out).

  • @VictumRoManius-about 30% of the Zulus were armed with firearms at Isandlwana.

  • That last song the Zulu sing sounds like the melody in the film Close Encounters. Maybe they copied off this film?

  • @michieluvsdanie Please show me one single piece of evidence that even remotely suggests that western empires trained the Zulus in how to use rifles?

  • The zulus did have rifles. But those where old and the numbers of rifles where not that high. At the battle of Isandlwana it was mainly the strategies of the Zulu and their bravery which decided the battle.

And for those romantizing the british: Have you ever read about what the British did in their African colonies?? :)

Its funny to see you talk shit about Napoleon and the french for being cruel... But to be honest, you where not 1% better.
