Yes, there were native Arawak and Taino Indians, but Africans from Congo were brought to the island as well. Haiti has a mixture of people. We are dark, light, mulatto, white, and the list goes on.

@ccisis I see you like to talk trash. First of all the first Haitians in the island of Haiti over 50 and 100 of years ago were not africans you idiot. They were Native Indians ( Taino's/Arawaks). They were not africans. Please resarch the history of Haiti before you try to bash on a video. Us mixed Haitians are never and I mean rarely ever represented in the media and TV, So what are you upset about ? You sound really biased and ignorant right about now.

We put businesses, hotels, and establish tourist attractions in Haiti. We put the money on the table for Haiti

@StraightUpPipe I agree with you all the way. I'm a mixed Haitian as well and it really shocks me how there are Haitians that discriminate towards us mixed ones. I just don't understand how Haitians go by the the motto of "L'union Fait La Force" but yet it seems like unity hasn't fully tooken its full course in the Haitian commuity.

a lot of people think Haitian are ugly but they don't know we are more pretty than ugly whether we're light or dark skin. there's friends of mine that have very dark skin and they are pretty and handsome.
