Rimadyl is an NSAID and is known to be a potent and effective drug for dogs with arthritis. Most NSAIDs like Rimadyl are safe for dogs, but they are not harmless and can cause some side effects.   • I agree. My dog was prescribed this, and after a week, he suddenly, out of nowhere, got really sick. He's being treated right now.

    Rimatyl is known to kill.
