I broke a ball link off the Blade holder today with just a little blade contact with the rug in my garage. I forgot to shut off the Throttle hold switch, so off course it took more abuse before I realized it was on.
Here is how I fixed it. It is now stronger than any of the other ball links on the helicopter. This was a standard practice years ago, before they had replaceable balls. Most high quality RC helicopters have Balls that screw on. This may work for you, but if you don't feel comfortable with it, DON'T do it.

  • hey dave my name is chris and i was wondering if you could give me some tips about the honey bee cp2 because i might get one but i dont know how good it flys and im at a 4 ch helicopter right now and its time to move on. ya that would be good. and this vid gave one tip so thanks

  • I have about 20 videos on the Honeybee CP2 and really like mine. If you watch them, you will certainly know how they work.

I appreciate your frustration in trying to find a heli. No heli is stable. There are no magic bullets either.

I always say learn on a VW, and if you never crash it, then get the Porsche!

Request my 9 Heli Flying Tips and Rules of Thumb for more insight. But I would get a HB CP2 before jumping into a full forced 3d machine.

    Good luck, Dave.

  • I had to use this method twice when one of my blades struck a pole sticking out of the ground when landing. It works like a charm, however I will probably buy some spare's to replace the screws with sometime! I probably would have been SOL if I didn't remember this video!

  • Thanks kindly. Good luck too.

  • how much is a bubble bee and where can i get 1 they look good

  • See the link in the description box. They are from $79-$129 for the CP2 like above.

  • I did the same thing. When I got my first helicopter, I thought you could hook up the battery before the remote was turned on. Well, you cant do that, and it went full throttle and flew into the ceiling, then took off across the room and hit the wall.

  • can u give me some more tips on how the remote works like switches ans stuff if thats ok

  • Thanks Dave, it really helped me! I also have a honey bee cp2 and I broke a ball of the head rotor.
