@MegaWalt123 The only mediocre album was Chinese Democracy. :P And that one was when EVERYONE left
-
Izzy Stradlin was the best songwriter gnr had, just look in the album covers. And now he's not in the band, hence the mediocre albums since he left!

Zack has an amazing voice, just check out "dead as yesterday". The reason I now have even more respect for him because of that, is because I play guitar and sing, and singing takes alot more out of you than playing. Its making your body into an instrument, and you're not talking about just replacing a broken string if you sing all night. Its physically the most punishing position in a band, second maybe to drums. Singers deserve their spot next to the lead guitarist, if not in front of him.

If music as all about passion..Zakk certainly takes first place, not only through his juggernaut guitar playing, but he has one hell of a voice, and not the high pitched feminine sounding vocals, although he does hit the high notes, it always sounds like there is a pair of testicles attached to the person singing...what a phenom of a musician my friends...love all music for what it is, and keep the trolling to yourself because nobody really cares about that loser shit. R.I.P Dimebag!!!

@aggiebem Metallica? I don't know what world are you living in, dude. Kirk Hammett is hell of a shite guitarist, I'd say that even Hetfield is better technically. And he's a vocallist..

@chunks132 Okay, last comment - this is getting long. Famous lead guitarists often DO get as much credit as the vocalist. Ex: Zepp, Skynyrd, Van Halen, Metallica, Pearl Jam. Slash is one of them. Slash is as much a household name as GnR and maybe more than Axl Rose, and it's because of his unique (and badass) style. As for covers, fair that it takes some skill to make a famous cover, but it's still a cover. Maybe your "version" is original in its own way, but you still didn't write it.
-
@aggiebem thats typical you give slash the credit when he's wrote like maybe 5 songs for the band. lol its your opinion so ill let you have it. and i think that its actually pretty cool when a band covers a song and makes it more famous then the original. it shows how much talent the band actually has. and to be honest....if it was for GnR slash wouldnt even be a foot note on the industry today. might have but not as fast with GnR.
