Lyrics:
Hey gentlemens, gentlemens

Now the subject of this song is, uh,
something all of you have seen
one time or another, it's an old roadhouse

ahh we're down in the south, or in the midwest,
or maybe on the way to Bakersfield

and we're, we're drivin' in a '57 chevy
to an old roadhouse, can you dig it?

You know, it's about uhh 1:30
and we're not driving too fast,
but we're not driving too slow either

We've got a six pack of beer in the car,
a few joints, and we're just ahh listening
to the radio and driving to the old
roadhouse, through nature, dig it?

Well, I want to tell you people about
something I know . . .
Money beats soul, every time . . . C'mon

======================

Yeah!

Keep your eyes on the road, your hands upon the wheel
keep your eyes on the road, your hands upon the wheel
yeah, we're goin' to the roadhouse
we're gonna have a real
good time

Yeah, back at the roadhouse we've got some bungalows
yeah, back at the roadhouse we've got some bungalows
and that's for the people
who like to go down slow

Let it roll, baby, roll
let it roll, baby, roll
let it roll, baby, roll
let it roll, all night long

Do it, honey, do it

You gotta roll, roll, roll
you gotta thrill my soul, all right
roll, roll, roll, roll
thrill my soul
You gotta beep a gunk a chucha
Honk konk konk
You gotta each you puna
Each ya bop a luba
Each yall bump a kechonk
Ease sum konk
Ya, ride

Ashen lady, Ashen lady
give up your vows, give up your vows
save our city, save our city
right now

Well, i woke up this morning, i got myself a beer
well, i woke up this morning, and i got myself a beer
the future's uncertain, and the end is always near

Let it roll, baby, roll
let it roll, baby, roll
let it roll, baby, roll
let it roll, all night long

  • I think it sounds cluttered. Jon Lee would have been more tastfuf with his part. Just because Because it is the same song title does NOT mean it is the same song every time it's played....Each time it is played it has a different life of it's own. They can NOT be combined. It is integrated well, but not tasteful & a diserveice to John Lee Hooker and his legacy.. You can (if u want)take it from a musician who has played this song for many years.....

  • I've heard better!

  • this is the worst of its kind moits

  • IS THIS OFFICIAL? BECAUSE I KNOW THE DOORS HAVE JAMMED WITH ALBERT KING? THIS DOESN'T SOUND OFFICIAL?

  • @TheTnwildflower43 That's a little harsh there flower boy, I was expecting an actual live song with both performers on the same stage at the same time. That would have been beyond my expectations. This is a mix and it certainly stands on its own. Retard? damn, dude

  • Memories of my home in London UK and travels around Europe and most of all those amazing music festivals :) Brilliant

  • Fake Fake Never happened! Just a dream! but not a bad one!

  • @JazzBlaster69 you are a retard if you don't like this

  • Right On Afterlife13
